# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Camp for FREE Weekend - See Thousands of Daffodils!
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 30 Apr, 2027 at 12:00 pm – Sun, 02 May, 2027 at 04:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Spend an hour, a day, or the entire weekend helping Willoughby Farm Animal Rescue get ready for another summer, and camp with us for FREE while you’re here.Over the years, volunteers have helped build campsites, tent decks, trails, gathering areas, and much of the infrastructure that supports camping at the rescue. For 2027, our focus is shifting from major construction to maintenance, repairs, and taking care of everything we have built together.Projects may include spring cleanup, waterproofing, painting, campsite maintenance, minor repairs, clearing winter debris, tidying animal areas, hauling branches, and all the other jobs that come with maintaining a 107-acre rescue and camping property in Vermont. There will probably be some poop to shovel too. It is a farm, after all.No experience is necessary. Come ready to lend a hand and we will find a project for you.You can volunteer for a few hours or make a weekend of it. Bring your tent and sleeping bag, camp for FREE, spend time with the rescued animals, and join us around the campfire in the evening.Boots and work gloves are strongly recommended. Spring conditions can be wet and muddy. And there is one spectacular bonus: approximately 8,000 daffodils, planted by volunteers over the years, should be blooming across the property during the weekend.Your time and energy help maintain the rescue, support the animals who live here, and continue the vision and legacy of Brian J. Stephens, who began this rescue effort.Tickets are FREE, but please register so we know how many volunteers and campers to expect. Can’t join us? Donations help us feed and care for the rescued animals.
